the end of my run as a photomanipulator is only the beginning of being a photographer ;D that's right. i think it'll take a while for me to gather my enthusiasm.. it's not what i want to do, but i'm taking it as an A-level course at my new school in New Zealand. bah. i only took it because i have to lmfao.

YES. i am moving to New Zealand. if anyone is from NZ, i'd love to hear whereabouts you are (: i'll be near Auckland, and - joy of joys - my new house has unobstructed panoramic views onto Rangitoto Island. potential photography shot hmm? VERY much looking forward to kiwi summer. i've got a cold and it = death. however the kiwis don't seem to have any central heating for when their winter comes around, so i'll be looking forward to chest infections, colds, flu, pneumonia etc. nice one.

and also on the plus side i get to see Muse in January. :D! YAY

thanks to everyone who's ever faved my work, commented, and of course watched me. I appreciate your efforts so much, I just looked back over my gallery at all the favourites and comments I've had :) unfortunately I've had to uninstall photoshop (it's a very old version, and therefore won't run on Vista) and sell my computer, because I'm moving to New Zealand sometime this summer. but, I will consider buying a newer version of photoshop again in the future! on request I'll keep you all updated on my progress in NZ, maybe have a little photo journal going on ;) people have been slightly lax in adding my new account, so I'll upload it on here.

because Alicia + Layouts = Fail.

I need someone to make me a layout for mine and Wolfie's new equine RPG in the making, themed on Nordic Mythology.

I'm just looking for a neat little public & private layout for a favour. (: I may be able to repay you in the future by means of photomanip, after I've finished my exams, which will be around June.

I'm not interested in spending half my life chasing fuckwits who have no idea what 'copyright' means, nor can they guess why manipulators put their name on a picture.

those of you who make images may understand me when I say this. those who don't, probably not. even people who are newbies in this section of art might have no idea what it means.

manipulators claim their stuff for a reason, like Mozart or Picasso, or even arrsistable, put their names on their paintings so they can claim the work as theirs, and so the artist can be easily identified by a viewer of the painting. writers copyright their work so that it won't be ripped and put in another book. bands and solo artists copyright their music too.

so how is it any different, do you think, when manipulators put their name, their signature on their pictures?

do you know how much it infuriates us when our signatures are disregarded? do you know how pissed we are when a kid with no life decides they want to call the picture theirs instead of ours? do you know how fucking annoying it is when they rip the text off your image and replace it with shoddy, crap text of their own? would you throw paint all over a finished painting, ruin a library, destroy a production? I think not.

some people are so shallow to bother thinking about the many hours manipulators put into making images for you to VIEW at your pleasure, not copy, edit, claim as yours or use without our written permission. it is NOT your prerogative to use any of these images we put on deviantart without our consent. have you not noticed that artists are starting to die out because of the havoc caused every time someone steals their work?

it's pathetic, it's disgusting.

grow up, get a life, stop stealing, because guess what, it's against the law. and you'll always get found out sooner or later.

I'm speaking for the whole community on deviantart; it happens in all fields of art.

if you see anyone using anyone's artwork that you recognise on a site, contact that artist immediately.
